Battery design & selection
How Furo calculates the storage and which models you compare.
Under Configuration you define, alongside the electricity tariff, how Furo calculates the storage and which models go into it. The PV systems themselves belong one step earlier, under PV & remuneration.
Battery Analysis Type
Under Battery Analysis Type you choose how Furo calculates the storage. That determines whether and how many batteries you enter in the battery selection.
Optimal Battery
Furo calculates the optimal battery configuration. The optimal size is determined from the average battery costs of your battery portfolio and can be overridden. You don't pick a specific battery here.
Portfolio Battery
Furo simulates the optimal operating mode of one selected battery from your portfolio. You pick exactly one model.
Portfolio Battery Comparison
Furo compares portfolio batteries and the optimal battery across various capacity and power combinations in a color-coded grid. Here you enter up to ten models.
Battery selection
In the battery selection you draw on your battery portfolio. How many batteries you pick depends on the analysis type: with Optimal Battery none, with Portfolio Battery exactly one, with the Portfolio Battery Comparison up to ten. Optionally you cap the investment via Maximum Investment.
For each selected battery you choose in the Costs column which price applies: the SRP, one of the prices stored in the portfolio, or a total price of your own via Custom.
Default battery assumptions: Without figures of your own, Furo calculates with €400/kWh capacity cost and €200/kW power cost, 95% efficiency per direction (≈ 90% round-trip), 98% depth of discharge (DoD) and 2% self-discharge per month. All values can be overridden, for instance through a battery portfolio of your own.
