PowerPoint export

Create a presentation-ready PowerPoint from an analysis (Enterprise).

Enterprise feature: The PowerPoint export is part of the Enterprise package and can also be used during a trial.

The PowerPoint export turns a finished analysis into a presentation-ready PowerPoint with one click: a slide deck for the customer meeting. You trigger it in the results via PPT Export; Furo fills in the key figures and charts automatically.

Default template

By default Furo uses a ready-made template, you don't have to prepare anything: open the analysis, click PPT Export, download the finished presentation.

Presenting with your own template

If you want to use your own layout instead of the default template — with your branding and your slides, for example — you set that up once:

  1. Create your presentation as a PowerPoint file (.pptx).
  2. Wherever a value or a chart should appear, write a placeholder in double curly braces, for example {{IRR_opt}} where the internal rate of return (IRR) should appear.
  3. Upload this file in the profile settings under “PowerPoint Template”.

On export Furo automatically replaces the placeholders with the current key figures, prices and charts of the analysis. So you don't fill anything in by hand: you create the template once, and from then on Furo fills it in on every export.

How placeholders work

  • Spelling: exactly {{name}} — double curly braces, no spaces in between.
  • Where they work: in text boxes, in table cells and in grouped objects. Font, size, color and bold stay intact — so format the placeholder exactly the way the value should look later.
  • You add the units yourself: {{battery_size_kwh}} kWh becomes “540 kWh”.
  • Unknown names stay put: the export leaves a placeholder Furo doesn't know unchanged on the slide — so you see immediately that the name is wrong.
  • Values that aren't calculated come out empty: if the analysis doesn't deliver a value (PV key figures without PV, for example), the placeholder disappears without replacement. Everything you wrote next to it yourself stays, though: €{{pv_investment}} then becomes a lone “€”, and the line “Payback period: {{simple_payback_pv}} years” becomes “Payback period: years”. So plan such spots so they don't look odd without a value — or keep values that don't exist in every analysis on a slide of their own.
  • Entries per PV system carry a number: _0 stands for the first system, _1 for the second.

How the numbers are displayed

You only write the placeholder into the template, Furo takes care of the display: every value is formatted to suit its meaning. You add units like % or €/kWh next to it yourself, for example {{IRR_opt}} %.

Kind of valueExample placeholderHow it appears
Prices in €/kWh{{used_working_price}}0.28 — two decimal places
Percentages{{IRR_opt}}17.4 — one decimal place
Payback period and similar figures in years{{amortization_period}}7.6 — one decimal place
Commissioning year{{commissioning_year_list_0}}2021 — no thousands separator
Coordinates{{latitude}}48.1372 — four decimal places
All other numbers (energy volumes, costs, power){{yearly_consumption}}1,234,568 — small values 0.0028

A value that isn't zero never appears as “0” — Furo shows as many decimal places as are needed for you to recognize it. The separators follow the language of the export: in German 1.234,56 — in English 1,234.56.

Inserting charts

You place charts exactly like key figures: an empty text box at the spot you want, in the size the chart should have, and the placeholder inside it. Furo removes the text box and inserts the image exactly at its position and size — the chart is cropped to its content and padded centrally to your box's aspect ratio. So the box alone determines how large the chart becomes on the slide.

PlaceholderChart
{{savings_waterfall}}Revenue breakdown per year (waterfall)
{{cashflow}}Cumulative cash flow
{{energy_flow}}Energy flows including the two pie charts next to them
{{time_series}}Load distribution: time series with the storage schedule
{{load_profile_interactive}}Load profile in the view currently selected (day, week or heatmap)
{{load_profile_hourly}}Load curve of the selected week
{{pv_self_consumption}}PV generation and self-consumption
{{self_consumption_pie}}Self-consumption pie chart from the PV card
{{autarky_pie}}Self-sufficiency pie chart from the PV card

Furo photographs the charts exactly as they appear on the results page at the time of export — including the view you have set. A chart that doesn't exist in this analysis or that isn't open at the moment is not replaced: the placeholder then stays on the slide as text.

All placeholders at a glance

You can use these names in your template. Which of them get filled depends on the analysis — without PV the PV values stay empty, without an operator model the PPA values.
